Magee Park Poets

A gathering of poets in north San Diego County

The Magee Park Poets 2017 Anthology:

This 28-year-old anthology is bigger, better than before!

  • Triple the size at 170 pages: more poets, more poems, a global reach! The community of the Magee Park Poets extends out beyond the borders of Southern California. Poets from around the world have joined their voices to our local community: poets from Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and West Virginia; and poets from New Zealand, Sweden, Ireland, and Germany.

  • Improved printed edition! The anthology is now a perfect-bound, 170-page book, illuminated with black-and-white photography (courtesy of poet Gwyn Henry).

  • Ground-breaking e-book versions: Read poetry rendered as reflowable text while remaining true to the original (often complex) verse forms. An EPUB version is now available for loan through the Serra Digital Library Network (a online book portal used by over 30,000 libraries worldwide in over 40 different countries). A Kindle version is available for sale* on Amazon and a Nook version on Barnes & Noble Online.

*A note from Aionios Books , the publisher of the 2017 Anthology:

We at Aionios Books want to personally thank those of you who have purchased a copy of the Magee Park Poets 2017 Anthology--you rock! you all are awesome!

A round of applause, too, to our volunteer editors and readers from SDSU's MFA program, Arthur Kayzakian, Branden Boynton, Karly Mahlstedt, and Makeba McLeod; to the editorial board, Sandy Carpenter and CV Will; and to Gwyn Henry, for her amazing photography. These volunteers so generously donated their time and creative energy into shaping the 2017 anthology--bravo to you all for an amazing job, and under such time constraints!

We'd also like to announce that, we at Aionios Books will donate 100% of the royalties received from the sale of this book, through the end of 2017, to the Carlsbad City Library, in support of the Magee Park Poets Program. So in the spirit of contributing to our community, Aionios Books is shouldering ALL of the development and production costs (thus completely absorbing those costs while declining compensation).
